Being a twin is pretty special. When Alison and I were little, we had our own language, always had someone to play with, and could relate to each other in a way that was totally unique. We still can. There was very little that we didn't do TOGETHER.
Yesterday, I was reminded of that special bond when I met another set of twins: Faith and Kaylee. I was photographing a cheque presentation for 100 Women Who Care Calgary, which is an organization that was started by my twin, and of which, I am a member. We were presenting a cheque for $19,100 to Cystic Fibrosis Calgary at the Children's Hospital. The twins I met belong to Rachel Newell. She is the member who nominated this cause on behalf of ONE of her daughters.
It's moments like this one where I am so proud to be a member of 100 Women Who Care. I am making a difference to REAL people who live in MY town. I want these twins to experience a lifetime of being best friends, like Alison and I have. I am looking forward to our next meeting on May 12th when Cystic Fibrosis Calgary will tell us how our donation will be put to use.
