I'm an accredited and multi award-winning portrait photographer who believes that every body is beautiful and deserves to have legacy portraits.
One of the most fulfilling things I get to experience as a portrait photographer is showing you that, no matter what insecurities you have about your body, you can have portraits of yourself that you LOVE.

Becoming a photographer, I wanted to figure out the “secret” to looking good in photos for myself!
I thought that I was unphotogenic because I never looked as good in photos as I felt.
Now, after years of training as a portrait photographer, I realize that being “photogenic” has more to do with the photographer’s skills than the subject’s looks.

Awards & Recognition
Laurie started her photography career in 2013 and soon after sought awards and accreditation from the most credible national and international organizations.
She earned the designation of Craftsman of Photographic Arts from the Professional Photographers of Canada where she also earned three accreditations (Portraiture, Glamour & Scenic).
She earned the merit of Associate Photographer with The Portrait Masters Awards & Accreditation, a program explicitly for portrait photographers and a recognition of "high professional standard' which ensures that clients are working with the true professionals in the industry.
Laurie has won countless regional, national and international awards for her portrait photography, including a Best in Class award in 2020, 72 bronze awards from TPM (2018-2023), and a Judge's Choice Award from PPOC in 2021. Her work has been featured in an exclusive Best of Alberta Exhibition 2020-2021 as well as several regional and national image salons since 2017.
