Previously I wrote about a black tulle skirt that I made to have as a fun piece of wardrobe in my studio. I actually made a pink one first, so I wanted to share some images that I created using the pink one. I sewed it in a much more labour-intensive process than the black one. It was layers and layers of gathered tulle sewn to a piece of fabric and finished with a beautiful ribbon to hide all the stitching. Originally I thought I might outline those steps for you, but honestly it was way harder than it needed to be! Go to my black tulle skirt tutorial to see how I made that one instead. It was a lot of work too, but nowhere near as difficult as this one.
I have chosen some images of my beautiful and talented hair and makeup artist, Nadya, to show off my "Pretty in Pink" skirt. We had fun with the extra pieces of tulle, using them to wrap around her and add to the softness of the image. I also really like how some of the images turned out in black and white!
