Tina describes herself as having been a super shy awkward farm girl that grew too fast to keep up with her own skin. Her life changed dramatically in grade 10. It was time to go to a bigger school and her mom told her she could be anyone or anything she wanted! After a drama class the shy girl was gone. Her loud, larger-than-life laugh emerged and she embraced it along with her 6ft frame. She stood taller and even added heels in the mix by the time she went to college. She struggled in school but worked very hard to pass. After school she applied for jobs she was under qualified for and got them! By the time she was 25 she was working at national level sales. Soon after, she realized that having a boss wasn’t for her - she was too independent, maybe even defiant. She got her realtor license and hasn’t looked back. She gets to be a part of people’s lives, helping them and providing support and friendship. It’s the perfect fit for her.
"When it comes to beauty, it’s more about kindness and love than it is about looks. It’s an energy that comes from the heart that people feel and are drawn to" says Tina. She feels the most beautiful when she is happy, laughing and smiling – add on a great dress with finished hair helps too!
Like most people, Tina’s biggest fear about a glamour portrait session is not looking good. She doesn’t think of herself as gorgeous. She said she’s always been the “fat girl”. But this defiant woman of independence took herself out of her comfort zone and stepped in front of my camera. And I think we’re both glad she did! I can't wait to photograph you again, Tina!
'''I feel really glamourous and beautiful''
Tina's experience with her glamour photoshoot was feeling beautiful - which doesn't happen every day.
