For those of you who have followed my work for awhile, you are going to recognize this face.
I photographed Carrie and her young twins a year ago and featured her on my blog. I printed a large canvas of Carrie for display in my studio that all of my clients see when they come here. She is also featured in my Mother's Day campaign for the second year in a row and her face has been "the" face of my business for quite some time.
She is a friend, an inspiration and a force to be reckoned with. When I met Carrie, she worked as a freelance copywriter, a job she has built into a thriving business. She is also a single mom to some rambunctious twins, who keep her very busy.
Since the last time you heard about Carrie, she has taken on an entirely new role: App Developer. Yup, now you can find her rubbing elbows with the tech leaders of Calgary. She is the brainchild of PwrSwitch.
It is one thing to have an idea, but Carrie is actually turning her idea into reality. Her idea is born of a situation none of us would care to endure. The app is a "digital abuse management solution". If you are being harassed by email, text and phone, this is your answer for capturing the proof of harassment that the police need in order to take action. Carrie needed help and she knew she was not alone. So she decided to create an app! As Plato said: "Necessity is the mother of invention", but how many people turn a need into a solution? Hence the "force to be reckoned with" - I do not drop those words lightly.
I already looked at Carrie with great admiration for all that she has accomplished, and now she is just blowing my mind! So, when she said she wanted to participate in 30 Days of Gorgeous, it wasn't just a "yes", but a "HELL YEAH!" I can't wait to see where Carrie is a year from now!

Carrie came back for another photoshoot just for her. She knew she'd love it!
